What’s the cost of shipping?
The cost of shipping the tent and all supplies is already included in the total price of the glamping kit. The cost of shipping is only relevant to the outdoor bathroom/shower/kitchen and will vary depending on how far you are from Bella Vista, Arkansas. If the shipping cost doesn’t make sense we can always build the structure on sight for a higher price than what it retails for when we build it at our home base. We always build our decks on site using local crews.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer financing with our partner lenders Koala Capital and Lightstream. Both lenders are willing to finance our glamping kits.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes we do! You will have to pay the 3% service charge for using a card. To avoid this, you can pay via ACH, cash, or check.
How fast can you build and deliver my glamping kit?
The entire process of building, shipping, and installing your glamping kit from start to finish takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks. This process begins once you have placed 50% down on your purchase.
Do I have to pay all at once or can I split my purchase in multiple payments?
We require a 50% deposit to begin building your glamping kit order, 30% upon our crew arriving to build the deck on site, and 20% upon full completion of the glamping kit. The entire process takes 4-6 weeks.
You can make a series of payments through our financing options.
How long does it take to set up the glamping kit?
It takes one to two weeks to build the deck depending on the size of the deck and the local crew we are working with. Once the deck is built and all supplies have been shipped to your location, it takes us 1-2 days to install your tent, assemble all furniture, and have the glamping unit 100% ready to go.
Does your glamping kit have a/c and heat?
Our basic cooling is a rotating fan. Our premium cooling has a stand alone a/c unit. In order to power the a/c unit you will need power from your property. Our premium power will power an a/c unit for about 4-5 hours. You can purchase an even larger electric generator that can power the a/c for longer.
Our basic heating is an electric dual control heated blanked. Our premium heating is a propane heater with a 5 gallon tank. The tents do have an outlet for a wood burning stove, but in our experience they are too much of a hazard and hassle to deal with so we do not recommend them. You can, however, purchase one yourself.
What about the bathroom?
We offer an outdoor bathroom/shower/kitchen that can be fully off grid or on grid depending on your needs and setup.
Do I have to install a septic tank?
We do not. We can subcontract that our with a local septic company or you can find a local septic company yourself to install septic. Whatever you prefer. We are here to serve you.
I’ve never hosted a glamping tent or short term rental. Can you help me with management?
We have 10 years of STR/glamping management experience. We can train you and get you fully setup on all platforms for a $600 fee, but we do not offer long term property management. We only manage our own properties now.
My property is very remote. Will anyone book my glamping tent?
In our experience, if you create a first class memorable glamping experience and market it well on social media your glamping unit will book even if you are a few hours away from a major city of national park.
How will people find my glamping tent to book?
There are many platforms that allow glamping tents to be marketed including, but not limited to: Airbnb, Hipcamp, The Dyrt, and GlampingHub. You can also build your own website and market through social media.
Can I speak with you guys one on one?
Of course! Give us a phone call anytime or book a one-on-one video call if you are interested in our glamping kits. If you just want general advice about setting up a glampsite without any interest in our kits we charge $100 an hour for consulting or you can subscribe to our glamping coaching course for $49 a month.
Do you have any resources on what I need to know in order to run a successful glampsite?
We do have an online coaching course that will teach you everything you need to know about setting up a glampsite, managing, and marketing your glampsite. You can join it for $49 a month. We don’t market our course because it’s not our main business. Our main business is our glamping kits. However, we do offer it for a minimal subscription for those who want to learn more and need more support. This also includes Joshua Carvalho’s cell phone number to ask him as many questions as you’d like over the phone or text.
Can I install the glamping kit myself?
You can definitely install the tent and furniture yourself. However, the deck and outdoor bathroom/shower/kitchen will need a framing contractor to build it properly.
Is the glamping tent year round or seasonal?
If you are in an area of the country that doesn’t snow then it could be year round. We have our glamping tents book in the winter even in cold climates even though winter is definitely the slowest season for glamping. However, if you are in an area with heavy snow we highly recommend taking down the tent once snow begins to fall in your area. We also highly recommend emptying out the tankless water heater and all water lines once temperatures reach below freezing even if snow hasn’t fallen.
Is the tent well insulated?
No it is not. It is a very breathable canvas tent. Due to having so many windows, there is fantastic airflow during hot months and nights are generally much cooler and with windows open and a fan on it is quite comfortable. In cold weather, all windows should remain closed, and a heating blanket should be used at the very least. Insulation is not great. There is an insulation layer that can be purchased for an additional $350, but it will completely cover the stargazing portion of the tent.
Is the tent waterproof?
Yes, the tent is waterproof. It does great even if heavy rains and thunderstorms. It does great in high winds as well. We have tested it in 40 mph heavy thunderstorms and it has remained strong throughout the storm. We do not recommend in tropical storm winds or stronger.
What about mildew?
In our experience, no mildew has ever grown on the outside layer of the tent no matter how much it rains or how humid the climate. However, the inside of the tent can accumulate mildew in cold winters if you are using a propane heater or wood burning stove on the inside of the tent. This is due to heavy condensation that builds up on the inside of the tent from the effect of freezing temps outside and warm temps inside with no insulation. This is another reason we recommend taking down the tent for cold winters. If you are only using the the heated blanket and nothing else in the winters, then there will be no condensation on the inside of the tent and no mildew will accumulate.
Lastly, even if mildew does accumulate there are many ways to kill mildew both with natural or unnatural chemicals.
